The party was a lot of fun. The season is off to a fairly good start.
2 of my favorite people have been laid off. They're people I've worked with for years, and whom I like very much. So I'm sad about that. At the same time, I'm relieved that I still have my job, and am grateful for that.
I have only started shopping for the baby, and I keep giving her the things that I mean to keep for Christmas. Its ridiculous. I do not know what to get for my sister. I do not know what to get for my husband either! I guess it'll be a down to the wire type Christmas again.
Finally, I'm starting to feel a bit more "normal". It's been 20 weeks since I gave birth, and I think that the foggy thing is really starting to lift now. I need to do some chakra meditations and return to the Buddhist meditations I was doing while pregnant. They were truly great. I tell you, it's difficult to be angry or to hold on to any negative emotion if you have the discipline to meditate. I should re-read "Wake Up" - the Buddhist guide for teenagers. I know, it's silly, but it's a beautiful little book and really taught me so much.
We have an artist here today and with that artist always travels 2 dogs. Mini pinschers. Oh my god. I love them. For some strange animalistic reason, the nearly constant yipping, yapping, barking, whining stops and they're all over me when I come into the room. I love it when they get to stay in my office. They tumble over each other in an effort to be petted and played with. There's another dog I love to babysit for, and she's a lhapso. It makes my day. I don't get to babysit the pinschers, but I get to visit them and they me. It's hilarious! Guess I'm in dog withdrawal.
I started Weight Watchers. I'm not doing so well, but I AM paying attention to how much I'm eating. It's a start, and I'm determined to bring the weight down.
Lately, we have no time for movies (even on dvd) so we've been renting "Arrested Development" seasons. This show is absolutely hilarious. And Will Arnett is so cute! When he does the chicken dance, I die! It's ridiculous and absurd, and it gets me every friggin time!
We went shopping at Carter's last night. I had earned 2 $10 gift cards for future purchases, had a 20% off coupon, and everything in the store was 50% off. Don't ask me how, but we STILL managed to spend $60! Come on, a girl's gotta have overalls, right? And a fuzzy zip up warm thingy for the car...and a new rattle with the cutest bunny on it...and 2 pair of pajamas that fit her really big feet...and the cutest purple hooded sweater...oh man. I LOVE buying stuff for this baby. She was in the store with us and I can't get over how absolutely adorable she is. If I hadn't seen her at the moment of birth, I'd be afraid they gave me someone else's gorgeous child accidentally!
Finally, sad to see that Peter Boyle has passed away at age 71. What a talented guy.
I'll be back with more soon. Take care!

I told Ruby that the dad on Everybody loves Raymond died and she left my room and tells G.
Peter Boyle died...
G. said Peter Boyle?? Who.... Oh, SAD.
then Ruby said SOOper Doooper in a gentle remembrance.
God Bless us Everyone!
Much love to you and your familia on this Merry Freakin' Christmas.
Just finished tie-dying the last of the hippie dippie gifties, drank a beer and am all alone (each kid at a different x-mas party, actually G. is in Arkansas!)
Hope everyone is healthy and happy and warm!
