train in vain
first of all...thank you to changepeluda for the lovely jane dedication/thought on her blog. that was very sweet.
my current dilemma is - there's no train home for me tonight.
it's a drag. not the end of the world...but i wasn't exactly envisioning returning to the office on a friday night to wait for a ride home with my boss. it's january 5 and it feels like it's 98 degrees. it's actually 55, which is close enough when you're inside penn station with around 200,000 people. cops standing around, telling you NOTHING and letting you squeeze into a closed gate with many other sweaty people only to discover there really was no point.
i feel so bad for so many of those people. they really don't have a way to get home. i hope the trains start running soon. i've been travelling light lately. tonight i decided to take a gift for maggie home that her "uncle" dwayne had brought here for her. it's gigantic (but light).
well, i'm going to head home now. have a fabulous weekend.
