Tums

Heartburn is my companion.

I am so tired. I don't know why. I've been sleeping. Waking up every once in a while, but still getting good rest. Today we went to Babies R Us (my sister and I) and we got a pad for baby Maggie's co sleeper. It's not quite big enough so I think we'll have to go back and see if they have one just a little bigger. That co sleeper would not be comfy, okay? It's rock hard. Adorable and a great invention, but too damn firm.

I also bought various crib and bassinet sheets, waterproof pads, stuff like that. Just a few minutes of shopping, and I'm down $80!! Yeesh!

But on a very positive note, we finished paying off the car! My sister loaned us the money and we're all paid up as of today. Very nice feeling.

Then we went to Kohls and I got a nursing gown with matching robe for the hospital. Cool beans. Now I have 2 gowns (one with matching baby gown!) and one robe. Baby has about 9 different outfits going to the hospital. I'm going to drive her insane before I ever get her home!

We picked up some Chinese and I scooted to Starbucks for an iced mocha. It seemed like absolutely everyone was staring at me. I'm enormous. And it was over 90 degrees today. So after that we went to my sister's and swam. Beautiful. Somehow I fell asleep for over an hour after getting out of the pool. I put my big swollen feet up and passed the hell out. Her dog was barking and whining - I never heard a thing. I was out. The last thing I remember was trying to read "East Of Eden" - I think I got to page 3.

Tomorrow is my doctor appointment. I'm wondering if I'll be sent to the hospital directly. I have a feeling I will, but my feelings are definitely not trustworthy lately. But if that is the case, I'll be posting when I have a moment, but it won't be for a little while. I'm a little afraid that something will go wrong. I really want my baby to be healthy and happy. I guess that's a normal thing.

Okay. Talk to you soon. Take care!

Oh don't be scared! Everything will turn out just fine. You are understandably frazzled on the home stretch. If you are able to go shopping AND swimming in the record heat, you are Doing Fine! And...It sounds like you two are going to Look FABULOUS!

I Love Matching outfits!!!

What's most hilarious is the actual matching outfit. It's a really nerdy nursing nightgown with bears on clouds that says "nighty night...sleep tight" all over it! Heh heh! It's cute though.

The shopping trip nearly killed me. The swimming saved me. I asked my sister to pick me up tomorrow on her way home from work so we could do a quick swim to beat this unbearable heat. How is it by you???

It never rains in central california...during the summer that is...except for today.
I hope you have a Lovely Swim with your sis!
