We Saw Maggie Today!!

She is a beautiful baby, if I do say so myself! We had the "big sonogram" this morning, where the baby's organs are scanned and searched. Everything is fine, and Maggie is an active little girl! Her little hands are just adorable - they're always working. She's either sucking her thumb or making fists - it's beautiful! I'm so deeply, deeply in love with my child. I just can't believe she's mine. And I'm hers. It's a crazy bond. I've never felt like this before. I've been insanely connected to my animals, and to certain friends and of course to Marcellino, but this is completely unique to me.

I began to write her a letter yesterday. I guess I'll finish it today and continue to write to her so that she can read them when she's older. She'll know all about the pregnancy and the love we feel for her and how she sat on my sciatic nerve and was a pain in the ass for a while.

More later today...

Oh Oh OH! You do not even know!!HOW important that is that you do that! Writing letters, I totally wish that I had done that for Ruby, my 14 yr old daughter. She asks so many damn questions....and your Maggie will have all the answers....I really like the way you think!

I'm glad you think it's a good idea! I write her one every few weeks, just letting her know what we're thinking and feeling. How we can't wait to see her! Man, I would have loved to know that my parents were excited that I was coming. Plus, if anything should happen to me before I meet her...she'll know I love her!
