It's Wednesday.
I'm exhausted.
I've been handling travel arrangements for pop stars. This isn't fun. Nor is it glamorous. It's annoying. Everything you set up changes. Everything is in a constant state of flux. I am a Leo with Moon in Taurus. I like things SET. That makes me HAPPY. I am also kind of impatient. Heh heh. I better learn to be more patient before Miss Maggie comes along. Pop stars are good practice for babies.
I wrote a little bit yesterday, but it was a dumb, short entry which I'll delete. Instead I'll salvage what I felt was worth saving and put it here on today's entry.
I saw "North Country". I didn't want to, but my sister rented it and thought it was great. I have to agree. Charlise is very talented, and it was a well written, beautifully directed film based on a true story. Everyone should see it.
I had been hoping Felicity would win Best Actress at the Oscars. It was a hell of a challenging role (and "Transamerica" is an excellent film). Now that I saw "North Country", I have to say that Charlise was amazing too. I know Reese won, but I don't see how her performance compares to either of these. She's very good though, so I'm not bitching.
Very bummed out that Matt Dillon didn't win and that Clooney did. I adore Matt Dillon. He's a great actor and a great guy. He was amazing in "Crash". And what about Heath Ledger? I wasn't a huge fan of "Brokeback", but his performance was beautiful, heartbreaking. One of the best I've seen in a long time. Phillip Seymour Hoffman is one of my favorite actors, so again, I'm not bitching, but I think that was wrong.
Rachel Weiss was great in "The Constant Gardener", so I had no real problem with that either, but I was hoping it would go to Amy Adams, who destroyed me in "Junebug", or Michelle Williams who said so much in "Brokeback" while actually speaking very little.
Something was up with me last night. I didn't even really watch The Amazing Race. I think they shouldn't have moved it to 10PM. I was already in the swing of throwing out massive amounts of paper around the house while looking for something. I barely paid attention when it was on. Maybe it was just boring - I don't know. I was just glad that I got lots of stuff done!
This past weekend was spent on a major purge of stuff from what is looking more and more like a room a baby would love! Okay, like. My sister took the excercise machine that's been in there for nearly 2 years and stored it in her garage. It's one of those Body By Jake things with elastic bands, but it's really very good and helped my husband get into shape in such a short time! We got so many video tapes out, and a cabinet that held video tapes went out to the trash with a huge computer monitor, old pots and pans, and lots of clothes. I want to keep it going and list stuff on Ebay. Use the money toward decorating her room. It's going to be so cute! I just wish it didn't reek of pot. It smells like my neighbor is actually smoking in the room. It's BAD!!
Yesterday one of our rap A&R guys lit up here in his office. My office and his must be linked through the vents. I was in a literal cloud of pot smoke, and had the worst asthma attack! I ended up throwing up in the bathroom. It was awful. Of course, he had no idea and came running over to say he was sorry after I called his assistant to ask her to make him open a window...and my boss was asking him "why are you apologizing? what happened?" and his answer, stoned out of his mind was "oh mind your own business". Hehheh!! Then he says to me "i'll buy you something!" Like what? New lungs?? He's adorable.
I realize I'm probably boring the life out of you, so I will leave you alone now. See you soon!

Hey - did you send me a Peerflix friend invite?
I'm assuming that it's you - and that's cool - I accepted it, just curious as to what that may or may not mean.
Oh and congrats on your motherhoodness!
