It's my sister's birthday....

A short post today. I have no idea what to buy for my sister. Not a clue. She's a very unusual person, and it's very hard to figure out what she'd really like or need. She loves to be a handyman and is always ripping up flooring and putting new down, or doing wall paper projects or something crazy like that. We always get her tools and Home Depot gift cards because who knows what might inspire her from week to week. I've gotten her clothes before, but I never see her wear them. I'm sure they're used for work because on weekends she's in her project clothes or a bathing suit like me during the summer. We've been thinking and thinking and nothing is coming up. The best gift I got for her was a ping pong table a few years ago, but that's now like a family gift - not something she can do on her own. I want something special just for her.

Suggestions are welcome.

Last night we saw Elizabethtown. It's a Cameron Crowe movie with Orlando Bloom and Kirstin Dunst. It started off SO GOOD. Sometimes it surprises me when I see Orlando Bloom and I realize how talented he is. He can say so much without speaking, and he never really overdoes it. But once Kirstin Dunst shows up, it just cracked and went downhill fast. It seemed like the movie just stopped being directed. It really bothered me because the beginning of it really affected me. Oh well.

Last night the baby started to absolutely move in ways I haven't experienced before. I was almost worried. I read something about frantic, panicking movement, and that's nearly what this was. She was all over the place! I put my little pregnancy pillow on my belly and it was nearly supernatural - it was moving all over by itself. And it was uncomfortable too. Whew. She did settle down and I managed to fall asleep after an hour or so.

I have to go now and start moving on with the day. Very difficult Sundays with no Jane or Bill here to spend the day with me. Just can't stay home.
