WE KNOW THE BABY'S SEX!!!

I'm sick.

God, I hate this. Tomorrow I'll be 17 weeks pregnant, and today I have a sinus infection with a bonus ear infection, plus there's a nice little case of bronchitis brewing. I cannot take my usual antibiotics, so I'm stuck with a z-pack, which never helps me in any way. I am normally on Nyquil and Sudafed to get me through these, and naturally those are all off limits. I'm worried about the poor baby. I've been out of work since Wednesday.

On Monday, I had my amnio. Don't let people tell you it's no big deal. It fuckin hurts. And it's so scary. They put a needle into your belly and directly into the amniotic sac so they can draw out some of the fluid to test for serious disabilities. You have to lay there, so still, and pray that the needle doesn't touch the baby.

Well, the baby decided to sleep through the procedure, which was great. We still couldn't see what sex the baby is because it decided to sit indian style! It looked like it was in deep meditation!

But we got the results back on Wednesday night. Everything is FINE! AND...I was wrong. We're having a little GIRL!!
