Just Lovely.

I managed to write an entire post today. And this computer shut down on it's own, and took all my words with it. Man, does that piss me off. Squeezing in spare minutes here and there throughout the day, rushing to get it done before leaving the apartment and between feedings/changings/etc. All for nothing.

Oh well. Basically, Maggie is constipated a good part of the time. She's on formula (similac with iron, thus the constipation) and being breastfed. I wanted to change the formula, doctor says no. I'm giving her some prune juice in her morning bottle (first one of the day). It helps, but the poor kid still has cramps and strains. I don't know what to do.

As for me, I'm fighting yet another sinus infection. I do NOT want to take antibiotics. I do NOT want to be unable to breastfeed Maggie at all. I'm hoping I'll beat it. I'm so fatigued that it's a real problem waking up in the morning to care for her. The Italian is doing a good part of the night feedings (which are down to one at 1:30 or 2AM) and my first morning feeding (which is around 6 or 6:30AM). I feel like I'm pulling myself up through mud to wake up. I hate this sinus crap.

I have posted a link to my favorite commentor's new blog - check it out here!! Excellent writing. Beautiful and interesting family. I love to hear from her and to read about them. You will too.

Tomorrow I turn 41. I'm looking forward to it. If Maggie wasn't here yet, I think it would mark a sad birthday for me. But since she IS here, and I managed to survive both pregnancy and childbirth, and she's everything I could have hoped for and more, it's going to be a very happy birthday - despite the frigging sinuses.

Plus, she smiled yesterday for the first time. What more can I ask for as a birthday gift?? :)

Talk to you soon, I hope!
