my oh my...showers of showers

sorry i haven't updated in a bit. i have not yet given birth. :)

let's see. where should i start. okay. wednesday.

we went and met the pediatrician that our ob referred us to. we loved her. she's very straight forward, has lots of experience, has phone hours each (and every) morning, and we'll be able to see her whenever we need her. she rarely goes out of town, and when she does, she has someone she trusts to take care of things. made me and the italian feel very confident. we told her straight out that we want her to be maggie's doctor. she was glad. we're set. she's also affiliated with our hospital, so will meet our daughter right after she's born. whew.

friday. ah yes friday. we had a doctor appointment with the ob on friday morning. the italian was behaving in a strange way. even stranger than normal. first, he asked me to go out with him on friday night. i said sure, great. i dressed in black but i put on my colorful socks and my nikes. sorry, i figured that if i was sitting at a restaurant, nobody was going to see my feet, or my belly. the italian says "that's what you're wearing?" very strange thing for him to say. he never says things like that. so i gave him a dirty look, and said, yes. i get to the doctor with him and we do the anti stress test (2nd one). it's where they put the monitor belt thing on you and measure the baby's heartbeat and any contractions that might be occuring. it took ages. i don't know what my doctor's problem was, her heartrate was great, but they made me drink juice and lay in weird positions. everything was okay, but i'm not sure about the amount of fluid she's in. we'll know more next week when we have the next sono. we did a brief one. anyway. we finished up and the italian brought me to the train station, and left me there. another thing he never does. so i got on the train and went to work, thinking, what a weird day this is. people around the office were sort of avoiding me, but i thought, they're probaby just pissed because i cruised in at 2pm on a friday. whatever.

i'll finish this story tomorrow! ciao for now.

drinking juice and laying in weird positions is one of those f'd up things they make you do Right when you're too big to do it....what is up with that???? It's like they sit around thinking of the weirdest shit to make you do right before you're supposed to Give Birth.
So, you tease! What does colorful socks and Nikes have to do w/riding the train w/out yourItalian?

I KNOW!!!! Okay, crawl up on your side, well sorta on your side and try to stay there while your daughter kicks the monitor out of place every other second and chug down some Hi-C while you're at it! It was bizarre!!

I promise - I'll finish the story today!
